Founder’s Story

“To make drug discovery a reality.”
That conviction changed the course of my life.
When I was still at the beginning of my journey,
I simply wished to confront the diseases that take away people’s futures.
I wanted to build a path through which science could truly change lives.
That was where everything began.

Along the way,
I encountered a molecule produced by gut microbiota—HYA.
A molecule presents quietly,
yet unmistakably,
within the processes of life.
The questions raised by HYA extended beyond disease itself to something more fundamental:
the balance of life.
I came to believe that metabolites hold the potential to support that balance.
Their significance extends beyond treatment,
touching the very essence of human vitality.
That is why this science could never remain confined to the laboratory.
Meeting AAAS / Science became the turning point that allowed this conviction to be shared
with the world.
When communicated with integrity,
science connects people across disciplines,
countries, and cultures.

Those experiences led me into dialogue with researchers and thinkers around the world,
expanding my perspective from a personal challenge to one of responsibility toward society.
There were lonely nights.
As someone responsible for making decisions, I often faced choices that had no clear answers.
Yet each time,
a light from the future appeared before me.

A future beyond drug discovery.
A future where our understanding of health itself is transformed.
A future where scientific knowledge is built carefully over time, and where people can recover their vitality in everyday life.
NOSTER was founded to make that future real.

For as long as I live,
I will continue to pursue that future.
